Iwata Refusing To Resign, No Management Changes Planned For Nintendo

In case you haven't heard, Nintendo didn't have a particularly great 2013, especially when considering the underwhelming performance of Wii U. That said, company president Satoru Iwata has no intention of resigning.

According to Yahoo News, Iwata told reporters that "there will be no major management shake-up in the short term." Does this mean we might see some changes come about in the long term? How many strikes does Iwata get before he's stripped of his position of power?

Do you think a corporate restructuring needs to take place in order for Nintendo to get back on track to profitability? Would it be better to stick with the current leadership and see the Wii U through to its (likely) bitter end and then reassess?

Nintendo is in a very interesting spot right now. I just hope 2014 is kinder to the Big N than last year proved to be.
