[Update] EA Sports UFC Reveals Its Roster, Slowly But Surely

[Update] EA has revealed nine new fighters, including Chuck Liddell, Frank Mir, Jose Aldo, and Ricardo Lamas.

[Original] We haven't seen much of EA Sports UFC since E3, where the developer showed off the photorealistic facial animations of a roaring Jon Jones using EA's much-touted Ignite engine.

Suitably arriving for both Xbox One and PlayStation in Spring 2014, this fighting title features character models with "full body deformation" and a physics system that's meant to kick other human physics systems out of the water. Due to lower interest in boxing and a rising international interest in MMA, Electronic Arts intentionally put the Fight Night franchise aside to develop EA Sports UFC properly.

With EA Sports UFC looming ever closer to its release, EA Canada has seen fit to reveal its roster, rolling it out in full within the coming months. Part 1 has been disclosed on the game's official blog, bringing the total so far to ten fighters, which can been seen below in our screenshots gallery along with official stats. Check back here for the complete roster as it's revealed.
