Harmonix Reveals Music-Based First-Person Shooter

Harmonix, the studio behind Guitar Hero and Rock Band, has revealed its next major project. The game is called Chroma, and to no one's surprise, is centered heavily around music.

Unlike Harmonix's prior work, however, Chroma is an arena-based first-person shooter. According to the developer, the game "infuses fast-paced PC shooter action with music-driven gameplay." So basically, music is your weapon. You'll be able to choose from a variety of different classes, each with its own set of unique mechanics.

Chroma is being developed for PC. Whether or not it will be coming to other platforms in the future remains to be seen. Be sure to let us know what you think of this odd blend of shooting and music in the comments below.
