Persona 5 Confirmed for 2015 Release in the West, Spinoff Titles Coming as Well

Persona 5 has been confirmed for release in the west. As expected, however, the game won't be launching until some time next year, so JRPG fans will have to remain patient a bit longer.

This fifth entry in the Shin Megami Tensei sub-series will be coming exclusively to PlayStation 3. If you've been looking for an excuse to keep your PS3 around a little while longer, this is one of the best reasons to do so.

In addition, Atlus has confirmed that the 3DS spinoff Persona Q: Shadow of the Labrynth will be launching in the west this fall. A new and improved version of Persona 4 Arena, dubbed Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, will be arriving in the same 2014 window. Finally, the rhythm game Persona 4: Dancing All Night will be hitting PS Vita at some point next year.

Will you be holding onto your PS3 for Persona 5? I'm going to have to go out and re-buy one when the game launches.
