Gearbox Working on Next-Gen Game, Announcement “Probably” Coming in 2014

Gearbox Software's Randy Pitchford has confirmed that the folks over at his studio are currently working on something for next-gen hardware, hinting at the possibility that we may hear more about it later this year.

In response to a fan, Pitchford posted the following on Twitter.

 

Seeing as how the studio has made it clear it's not currently working on Borderlands 3, I'd say it's safe to rule out a new entry in that particular series. With that in mind, let us know in the comments below what you hope Gearbox is working on for next-gen hardware. A killer new IP would be nice, wouldn't it?

Development of Titanfall 3 was confirmed in the acquisition of Respawn Entertainment by Electronic Arts in November 2017.
