Xbox Boss: We Made Some “Wrong Decisions” With Xbox One, Need to Make “Gaming First”

Phil Spencer, the newly appointed Head of Xbox, recently spoke with Xbox Live's Major Nelson on his new role at the company, admitting that Microsoft made some "wrong decisions" in the lead up to launching Xbox One last year.

When asked to describe the past year, Spencer replied:

There's kind of two sides to the ledger on this. There's a lot of learning that I did as a leader in the organization. When I heard how our message resonated with people—some of the decisions that we made that I think were actually the wrong decisions and we had to revisit those decisions.

The Xbox exec also shared how he plans to deliver what gamers want out of Xbox One, saying, "I think about our Xbox product and how we can really put the stamp of the gamer on this product. Make sure it's gaming first."

Sounds good to me, Mr. Spencer. Now bring the games at E3!
