Sony Spoils One of the Best Moments in The Last of Us to Promote PS4 Release

Here's the trailer for The Last of Us Remastered, the PS4 re-release of last year's undisputed Game of the Year. At least, it was GameRevolution's Game of the Year and there were 200 others that agreed with us.

Before you hit play, we should warn you… this trailer spoils one of the best moments in the game. It doesn't ruin any piece of the story and there's obviously plenty of infected-smashing, hunter-slashing, and molotov-crafting that'll satisfy your thumbs on PlayStation 4 when The Last of Us Remastered hits store shelves this summer.

For gamers who didn't own a PS3, The Last of Us Remastered may just be the game you need to switch to PlayStation for the next-generation of consoles, but don't watch this trailer if you've never played the game. There's a moment very late in the experience that the video below totally spoils.

It's a moment with powerful impact that could leave you gasping for air as you finish the game's story, one that requires a ton of set up and hours of gameplay to get to. Why Sony would choose to use this moment in a trailer for a rerelease is beyond me. I thought the point of The Last of Us Remastered was to give more gamers the opportunity to experience this moment for themselves, especially as PS4 takes the definitive lead over Xbox One in early next-gen console sales.

Anyway, you've been warned. Don't ruin it for yourself if you plan on getting The Last of Us Remastered and haven't already played one of my favorite games from last year.
