YouTube’s PewDiePie Earns $4 Million a Year

According to the Wall Street Journal, the YouTube gaming star PewDiePie, otherwise known as Felix Kjellberg, earns far more in ad revenue than you might think: $4 million. A year. Yeah, what the hell are we doing being video game journalists and "integrity" and all that?

Anyway, the 24-year-old's popular, dirty-mouthed videos have garnered him over 27-million subscribers, and Kjellberg believes that he knows why:

Unlike many professionally produced shows, I think I've established a much closer contact with my viewers, breaking the wall between the viewer and what's behind the screen.

What I and other YouTubers do is a very different thing, it's almost like hanging around and watching your pal play games.

So where's the YouTube video of PewDiePie playing Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and laughing his ass the entire time?
