Best Buy Employee Harasses Customer for Purchasing The Last of Us: Remastered

A Best Buy employee lambasted a customer who wished to pre-order The Last of Us: Remastered, according to PSXExtreme. Apparently, the employee "in a joking manner" accused him of the following:

A. Buying a game just because publishers told him to, and B. Buying the game because there wasn't anything else to play on the PlayStation 4.

The author believes that this "ridiculously stupid and offensive" comment is due to a knee-jerk reaction that reboots and remasters are obviously cash grabs and thus are bad by default. That's certainly true to a degree, but I suspect this employee might be a fanboy judging by Point B.

But really, the more people who play The Last of Us, the better. I don't care if it's the Remastered version or not, or if it's existing TLoS fans replaying it on PS4. Giving more money to GR's best game of 2013 is never a bad thing, What if the customer never played the original game before. And more importantly, what is a salesperson doing telling a customer not to buy something? At least recommend something that you would purchase instead.

The Last of Us: Remastered for PS4 releases tomorrow and should be available for download later tonight.
