Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker Possibly Delayed to 2015

One of the few Wii U games expected to launch this holiday season may not be coming out in 2014 after all, as it appears Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is possibly getting delayed.

Popular video game rental service GameFly has updated its placeholder release date for the game, which was originally set at Dec. 31, 2014. Now, however, the release date has been changed to March 31, 2015.

Keep in mind that this is by no means confirmation of a delay. We'll have to wait for official word from the Big N before we can say anything conclusively.

The Wii U lineup for the rest of the year is incredibly thin as it is, with little more than Super Smash Bros. and Bayonetta 2 still expected to hit Nintendo's tablet centric console this fall. Oh, right, there's the Wii U port of Watch Dogs as well. How could I forget that…
