Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold Release Date Imminent, but Only for This Country

Samsung is pushing foldable phone technology even further with the Galaxy Z TriFold, a device that unfolds into three screens and turns into a full 10-inch tablet. It comes with powerful specs, a sturdy build, and a premium price tag, making it clear that Samsung is aiming for both innovation and luxury. The phone is set to launch this week, but not without a catch.

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is coming to market

The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold hits shelves in South Korea on December 12, with sneak-peek previews kicking off on December 9 at select stores. Samsung says the phone will make its world tour next, proceeding into markets like China, Taiwan, Singapore, the UAE, and the U.S., most likely in early 2026.  However, there’s a catch. Industry reports suggest supply will be limited, making it a highly coveted device upon release.

The Galaxy Z TriFold isn’t shy about flexing its luxury status. In South Korea, the 512GB/16GB model in Crafted Black comes in at around $2,450. The box features a Carbon Shield Case, a 45W fast charger, and a data cable. U.S. pricing isn’t locked yet, but early rumors put it at around $2,999.

Samsung went all-in on the design with the latest flagship foldable. The Galaxy Z TriFold features a dual-hinge setup, letting the left and right panels fold in to create three separate screens. When it’s fully open, it’s highly slim at just 3.9mm, 4mm on the edges, and 4.2mm in the middle. Even with that extra fold, it’s only a hair thicker than the Z Fold6 when closed.

Under the hood, it packs a 5,600 mAh battery that delivers 17 hours of nonstop video playback. As always, Samsung isn’t playing when it comes to durability and everyday use. The TriFold survives a 200,000-fold stress test. Also, to keep users from manhandling the hinges, the phone even comes with an on-screen warning and vibration cue to help you fold it the right way.

Camera-wise, Samsung gives it the same triple-camera setup as the Z Fold7, headlined by a 200MP main camera. Unlike many new-age phones, Samsung has also kept a physical SIM slot, which is a huge win for frequent travelers.
