DXRACER Martian Pro review

DXRACER Martian Pro Gaming Chair Review

The DXRACER Martian Pro takes what makes a premium gaming chair so good, with a comfortable yet ergonomic shape, adjustable components, and a stylish design, and then adds unexpected features to make it “Pro.” These features might surprise you. The Martian Pro has an electrically powered recline, seat ventilation, heating, and massager. There’s a lot to talk about here. This is my review

The electronic advantage

Getting the Martian Pro set up is simple enough, with instructions similar to any of DXRACER’s other chairs. The obvious difference is when it comes to the electronic components, which are powered by an internal battery. Users will need to occasionally recharge this battery to continue using the many powered features. At first, I was worried that the chair would always need to be plugged in, but the internal battery means that I can just plug the chair in to recharge once a week or so.

Just a button push away

DXRACER Martian Pro review

Easy to reach buttons control the recline, heating/cooling, and massager. This all works well, albeit a little slowly when it comes to the recline. And, when not in use, the electronic features conceal themselves well with comfort maintained. You won’t have any massage elements prodding you when you’re looking to sit back and relax, or anything like that.

When it comes to the various electronic features, I’ve been most impressed by the massager, which I thought I would hardly use. However, I’ve taken to using it once a day. When combined with the recline, it makes for a nice relaxing end to the office day.

Then there’s the heating element, which has been especially welcome during the UK winter. The massaging element is interesting, too, though I mostly use it for times when I’m not working or gaming, as it can be a little distracting.

Martian features

DXRACER Martian Pro review

This “Pro” model features everything that makes the standard Martian so good, so buyers can expect the high-quality reinforced frame, high-density foam, adjustable armrests, and magnetic headrest. The Martian Pro builds on an already excellent foundation with some genuinely useful and impressive electronic buffs, something that competitors have failed to do.

The downsides

DXRACER Martian Pro review

The obvious downside of the Martian Pro is its reliance on an internal battery for its key “Pro” features. Once that battery runs out, those features will no longer work. Therefore, users should be prepared to keep that battery topped up.

Another downside is the price premium for the “Pro” features. At $899, potential buyers will want to be certain that they’re going to use the electronic extras, as otherwise the standard Martian would be the way to go.

Final Verdict

The DXRACER Martian Pro offers an impressive set of features packed into a comfortable, well-built gaming chair that still delivers on core ergonomics and design. Its electronic additions feel thoughtfully integrated rather than gimmicky, and they genuinely enhance the overall experience. While the need to manage battery life and the high asking price will give some buyers pause, those who plan to regularly use the “Pro” features will find a premium chair that stands apart from competitors and justifies its name.
