Fortnite may have locked in its next collab, and it is reportedly Game of Thrones. According to a new leak, the popular fantasy series could feature in Fortnite in an upcoming collaborative event. This development comes six years after Game of Thrones’ hugely controversial finale, which left viewers divided over its ending. With this, the famed fantasy series will reportedly join other IPs in the game like The Witcher and Dungeons & Dragons.
Fortnite x Game of Thrones collab might be in works
A Game of Thrones x Fortnite collab is reportedly in the works, six years after the show’s divisive finale. Fortnite is known for its crossovers with popular characters from other media and famous franchises. An X account by the name HYPEX tweeted, “GAME OF THRONES IS COMING TO FORTNITE SOON.”
The post indicates that the collaboration is under development. However, there is no additional information on either the content or the release date. Notably, Epic Games themselves haven’t commented on the online buzz as of writing.
Interestingly, this piece of speculation has come to the forefront while A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is on air, which is set in the same fantasy universe as Game of Thrones. Additionally, if it drops around June this year, it might align with the premiere of House of the Dragon Season 3.
The majority of fans may have been disappointed by Game of Thrones’ finale; however, this hasn’t stopped them from showing excitement for Fortnite meeting the world of Westeros.
