Resident Evil 9 Spoilers Hit the Web Ahead of Release

The gaming world is abuzz with excitement as Capcom’s highly anticipated title, Resident Evil 9, aka Resident Evil Requiem, inches closer to its launch date. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the latest installment in the iconic survival horror franchise, and the wait is almost over. However, the internet has a way of ruining the party, and rumblings of major spoilers have already begun to circulate online.

Resident Evil 9 spoilers take over the internet while Capcom tries to fight them

The internet is currently being overrun by spoilers for Resident Evil 9: Requiem, with Capcom struggling to contain the leak. Major plot points and twists are spreading rapidly online, threatening to spoil the experience for fans.

Despite efforts to stem the tide, spoilers continue to surface, leaving gamers walking a tightrope to avoid unwanted reveals. The Resident Evil: Requiem subreddit is full of leak-related posts. Users are sharing and discussing full story breakdowns, character conversations, and gameplay spoilers.

Additionally, a Reddit thread lays out the plot in detail, complete with off-screen images and video clips confirming the spoilers’ authenticity. The thread covers unrevealed characters, lore connections, and the game’s ending mechanics.

Dusk Golem, a prominent Resident Evil leaker, posted on X (formerlyTwitter) yesterday: “RE9 starting to leak 10 days away from release is actually super good for the series. RE:4 & RE8 leaked 14 days away, RE:3 was 16 days away, & f***ing RE7 was almost a whole month before release..” They added, “I see people asking, ‘How could it leak a whole 10 days before release’, and over here I’m all like, ‘Huh, Capcom did better than usual this time. Good for them.'”

The early release of physical game copies is what triggered a wave of spoilers spreading quickly online. Story details are now circulating widely, echoing the kind of uncontrolled outbreak often associated with the Umbrella Corporation.

The launch of Resident Evil: Requiem is scheduled for February 27, with only one week remaining until its release.
