What Are You Playing? November 1st, 2017

The real question this week is what are we NOT playing? We’re still knee-deep in Super Mario Odyssey, Assassin’s Creed Origins and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus after posting our reviews last week, with this solid week of gaming topped off by the release of Call of Duty: WW2. Our Lead Editor Jason Faulkner will have our review of Activision’s latest blockbuster FPS up soon enough, so keep your eyes peeled for that one.

Personally, this week I’ve been playing a LOT of Super Mario Odyssey still, while I’m also just about to sink my teeth into Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds. While I can’t tell you anything about the latter game, I can continue to wax lyrical about the former — bloody hell, what a game, eh? I’m still continuously surprised by the level of ingenuity Nintendo displays at almost every turn, and my mission to collect every Power Star in the game has yet to become even remotely tiresome after spending hours upon hours with it. Our Game of the Year awards are going to be incredibly tough this year, especially considering it’s been announced that PUBG will officially be coming out of early access in December.

But that’s enough about us — what are you playing this week? As always, let us know in the comments section below!
