The People Speak: Subnautica Drowns in Controversy, Ni no Kuni 2 Impresses, and More

This sure has been a heated week in GameRevolution Towers. Though it wasn’t exactly an eventful week in the gaming industry, the recent controversy surrounding Subnautica ensured that there was plenty of debate in our comments sections, with everyone sharing their opinion on Unknown Worlds Entertainment firing an employee as a result of their tweets. Though there was plenty of, er, “passionate” responses to our articles regarding the Subnautica controversy, more than a few thoughtful responses were posted by our readers.

Elsewhere, readers enjoyed our latest installment of ‘Remember?’ which focused upon the oft-forgotten 2004 fighting game, Def Jam: Fight for NY. Our review of Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology also got a lot of JRPG fans excited, with Cody Perez’s gushing praise of the 3DS game putting it on a few readers’ radars.

As always, thank you for being vocal in the GameRevolution community this week, and take a look through a selection of our favorite comments below:

Article: Why it’s Not Surprising That the Subnautica Developer Was Fired

Comment: “P.S. Chylinkski is still free to say what he wants. People who whine about him being “muzzled” are idiots who don’t understand how this works. He still has his freedom of speech, as his continued tweeting demonstrates. But like it or not, his freedom of speech does not impinge on the rights of the management of Unknown Worlds Entertainment to decide they don’t want to associate with him anymore.”

Comment: “Just thanks for this!

So many memories and such a fun game for couch co-op…and that soundtrack…damn. I would buy a new one of these just from nostalgia. But also agree you probably couldn’t make it today because of all the reasons you listed and then some.”

Comment: “I loved the art style for the last game but couldn’t really get into it. My wife loved the game and dropped 100 hours into it easily. Looking forward to seeing her play the sequel at some point.”

Call of Duty 26 if you count spin offs and separate handheld titles.”
