No Man's Sky Get Deuterium

What Are You Playing? No Man’s Sky NEXT, Madden 19, and More

It hasn’t been a huge week for new releases, but the launch of the No Man’s Sky NEXT update certainly got the GameRevolution staff talking this week. Read on below to see what our staff members have been playing, and be sure to leave your own responses in the comments section below!

Paul Tamburro, Executive Editor: I’ve been playing No Man’s Sky and its NEXT update. The endless mining and crafting still don’t do much for me. but it’s one of the best photography games out there. Just wandering around its procedurally generated universe and taking snapshots of its mad planets is a blast. I’m basically treating it like Pokemon Snap, only with more monsters that look like disfigured ballsacks.

Astrid Johnson, News: After taking a break out of frustration about five months ago, I’m playing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild again, and making a tremendous amount of progress with it. Not for one second have I stopped running around in the Gerudo outfit (when I can help it).

Adam Johnson, Features: I’ve been mostly playing Train Sim World on PS4 — as a closet train nerd (shh) and a previous Train Simulator player on PC, I’ve been very curious to see how such a hardcore simulator game translates onto consoles. Answer? Pretty well!

Haru Nicol, News: I’ve started playing No Man’s Sky on the Xbox One after hearing how much had changed with the NEXT update. I’ve been having so much fun with it! I think I would not have enjoyed the original experience so I’m really glad I’m playing the more polished version of it!

Alleef Ashaari, Guides: I’ve been replaying Total War Rome 2 since Creative Assembly released the open beta version of the latest Ancestral Update. It’s amazing how a five-year-old game is still receiving major updates and even upcoming DLC expansion packs like Rise of the Republic. Veni, vidi, vici!

Bradley Russell, Guides: I’ve been playing Madden 19. It’s been great because I’ve definitely had all week to play it, which means the rest of my free time has been spent on Danganronpa 3’s seance/art murder (if you’ve played it, you’ll know the one). Probably the most compelling case in the series thus far, especially as I’m 2/2 on guessing culprits at the moment and I don’t have a clue who it might be!
