The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Update 1.1.2 Fixes Item Duplication Glitch, View Full Patch Notes

As of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom update 1.1.2, the item duplication glitch in the Nintendo Switch game no longer works.

An update for the latest Zelda game went live today, which kills the popular exploit. While not directly addressed in the official patch notes, Nintendo says, “several issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.” While fans are likely to disagree with their statement, now every rupee in the game will have to be earned.

What are The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom update 1.1.2 patch notes?

Besides fixing the item duplication glitch, the patch notes reveal several other issues that have been addressed. First is an audio bug, which would see sounds played at an extremely high volume by accident. Now fans won’t have to worry about any audio damage as that has been squashed.

Additionally, an issue has been fixed where players couldn’t progress in the quest called, “Camera Work in the Depths.” Players that had the issue will now be able to finish the quest after installing the update.

  • Fixed an issue where the sound would play at an extremely high volume in certain conditions.
Additional Fixes
  • Fixed an issue in the main quest, “Camera Work in the Depths”, where players could not progress beyond a certain point. Downloading the update will allow players to proceed past that point.
  • Several issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.
