Google recently unveiled its Pixel Watch 4, which could beat the upcoming Apple Watch Series 11 with its new features. During its recent Made by Google event, the tech giant also launched the watch. This was alongside its new earbuds and phone series. Furthermore, the Pixel Watch 4 is currently up for pre-order and will be available for purchase in stores on October 9, 2025.
Google Watch 4 overpowers Apple Watch Series 11
The Google Pixel Watch 4 is a month away from hitting stores; however, it already appears ready to challenge the Apple Watch Series 11.
The company released a clip of the stylish watch on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “Pixel Watch 4 still has its iconic circular shape — but it’s been redesigned inside and out. With its longest-lasting battery life and fastest charging yet, plus new AI-powered features and advanced fitness tools, Pixel Watch 4 is here to help you live healthier, keep connected, and stay safe — all with just a raise of your wrist.”
The one feature likely to give the Google Pixel Watch 4 an edge over the Apple Watch is the integration of its AI tool, Gemini. Google has added its new AI health coach, which is similar to Apple’s Workout Buddy. However, Gemini appears more advanced than Apple’s tool.
In its blog post, Google mentioned, “We’re introducing a personal AI health coach, built with Gemini. It provides proactive fitness and sleep coaching and on-demand guidance, uniquely tailored to your goals and real-life circumstances based on metrics from your Pixel Watch. This effectively gives you a 24/7 health coach on your wrist.”
Another feature that gives the Pixel Watch 4 an edge over the Apple Watch Series 11 is dual-band GPS. This feature is a significant upgrade for users. The upgrade allows users to use it even without Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity. Reports suggest that Apple is still planning to add this feature to its new watch. (via MacRumors)
The blog post stated, “Pixel Watch 4 LTE is the first-ever smartwatch with standalone emergency satellite communications. Powered by the Snapdragon® W5 Gen 2, it can connect you to emergency services through a series of geo-stationary satellites. This feature allows the watch to dispatch help to your location even when you’re off the grid.”
