Alcatraz Track:

To drive on Track 7, Alcatraz, you’ll need to finish a circuit. To save you

the time of doing that, here’s the circuit winning code:

Now just follow these 4 easy steps…

Note: To move between the car select screen, the track screen and the setup screen,

use the A and B buttons.


1. On car select screen: Hold C-Left, press Z, release both, press left
2. On setup screen: Hold C-Up, press Z, release both, press up
3. On track select screen: Hold C-Right, press Z, release both, press right
4. On car select screen: Hold C-Down, press Z, release both, press down, L, R 

And voila — you’re Alcatraz bound. Check the Track Select Screen.

If you have a memory pak you can cheat the system and save Alcatraz (track 7) as follows:


1. Enter circuit code (above) to continue a circuit.
2. Finish race/die/let time run out.
3. Start a new game (without using a player -- to tell system you've completed a circuit).
4. Go to the car select screen and enter first part of code.
5. Back up to the setup screen and enter second part of code.
6. Start a new game, this time selecting a Pak player.
7. Go to car select screen and enter final part of code.
8. Start game and track 7 is saved/enabled under current player. 



Burning Car
:

At the Car Select screen hold C-Up and press Z, Z, Z, Z. Repeat the code to

switch between smoking, burt-out, or normal.

Ugly Mode:

At the Setup screen press C-Right, L, Z, C-Right, L, Z

Turn Car into Mine:

At Car Selection screen press

C-Right, C-Right, Z, C-Down, C-Up, Z, C-Left, C-Left.

Cones into Mines:

At the Setup screen quickly press L, R, L, R, L, R.

Upside Down Tracks:

At the Setup screen press Up, Right, Down, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left.

Reverse Controls:

Highlight “Mirror” at the Options screen. Hold all four C Buttons a press Left or Right on the Control Pad to get an extra option called “Extreme.” When activated, it reverses controls.

Disable car collisions:

Opponents can’t touch you! At the Setup screen press

Left, Right, C-Right, C-Up, C-Left, C-Down, Z

No Timer:

At Setup screen, hold Z. Then press and hold C-Down then C-Up. Then

release. Then press and hold C-Up and C-Down, then release.

Back Tire Size:

At the Car Select screen, press and hold C-Right then C-Left and release both

buttons. Then press and hold C-Left then C-Right to activate the code. The car

in the viewing window will reflect the changes. Use the code repeatedly to

change tire size.

Front Tire Size:

At the Car Select Screen, press and hold C-Left then C-Right. Release both

buttons. The press and hold C-Right then C-Left, then release both buttons to

activate the code.

Burning Car Replay:

As you cross the finish line, crash your car. After “Game Over” starts

flashing, and before it has stopped flashing, hold down the L, R and Z Buttons

until the post-game high score begins. Your car will still be crashed and

burning, but will be driving around the track.

Change Car Size:

At the Car Select Screen press and hold C-Down then C-Up and release both

buttons. Then press and hold C-Up then C-Down and release both buttons to

activate the code. Repeat the code to switch to the next size.

Change Fog Color:

At the Car Select Screen hold the Z Button and press C-Down,

C-Down, C-Down. The color of the fog will change in the view.

Special Car in Circuit Mode

Win a Circuit. Then, if you are using the same player, you can

press Z, Z, Z, Z on the Track Select screen to enable the code.

Tag Mode:

Hit the ‘abort’ button during the countdown sequence at the start of a

2-player practice game. The timer will be set to 5 minutes. When you’re “IT”,

your timer is running. IT must tag the other player to stop his timer and make

the other player “IT”. Player 2 is always “IT” first. When time runs out it

is game over.

Foggy Night:

Go to the Options screen and change “Fog” to the Heavy setting. Then hold all

four C buttons and press Right on the Control Pad. You should now have access

to Foggy Night.

Gravity Code:

At Setup screen hold Z button and press Up, Down…Then release Z button

and press Up, Down, Up, Down. You should see a weight at the top of the screen. Repeat code for more weights .

Track Texture:

At Setup screen hold C-Right and press the L button. Then release both buttons and press Z to change it to a different track texture. Repeat code for different textures.

Complete the Circuit:

Go to the Circuit mode and select Just Play. Enter the code:

After entering the code, select “Continue Circuit” and enter the race. Allow

the timer to expire.

Secret Tunnel – Level 2:

Drive through the course as usual until you come to the free-way overpass

that can be jumped. Now, instead of jumping down to the road, angle

the car so that it is going from right to left. If you go off the free-way just right you’ll fly

across the gap to the other side of the freeway where a secret loop and two keys await.

Secret Flip – Level 3:

There is a bonus stage on track 3. On the second bridge that you’re

supposed to turn right on, go through the cones and speed up. Get on

the right side of the bridge and just, just before you drop turn right. If

done right, you’ll miss the hanging cables and you’ll land on the bridge.

Head straight and you,ll enter a half pipe. At the end there is a wall that

says MACE. If you manage to get over that wall you’ll have a chance for a

flip.

Hidden Stunt Zone (Pappy Land) – Level 6:

On track 6 at the top of the very big hill near Seal Rock, there is a ramp stunt

course. Turn right, just before the checkpoint and go down the big hill

towards the ocean. There is a concrete barrier there also – use it as a guide.

At the bottom of the hill, there is a passage way. Speed down that passage way

as fast as you can because there is a big loop at the other end and a stunt

course.
