Thief 2: The Metal Age
PC
(1) Create a backup of USER.cfg file
(2) Insert 'cheats_active' on a new line
(3) Then enter the following on a new line to activate the cheats:
| "lockcheat" | Almost every lock is open |
| "nokillgoalcheat" | You can kill people regardless if it violates the mission |
| "FailOnSee" | Fail Mission if enemy sees you |
| "FailOnKill" | Fail Mission if you kill an enemy |
| "FailOnKO" | Fail Mission if you knock an enemy out |
Easy Money:
Open the "dark.cfg" file in the "Thief II" directory. Add this line:
cash_bonus X
Change X to the amount of money you will start with the first time you encounter the Item Buy Screen.
Quiet Fall:
crouch when jumping just before you land.
Take No Damage from Falls:
Press Escape just before hitting ground after high fall, he'll make a sound but no damage will be sustained.
Extra Cash:
Quicksave before mission is completed, finish it, and save again. Return to the first save and the money will have remained here. Repeat as desired.
Stretch the "No Kill" Rule:
YThe rule does not apply to throwing the Hammerite hammer or Mechanist mace for kills.
Level Skip:
Press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + End while playing, to go to next level.
