So you’re looking to hit Final Fantasy XIV‘s new level cap of 70, but are wondering how long it will take. We’ve got you covered.
There are two major factors that play into how long it takes to hit level 70, as follows:
- Do you already have a level 70 (probably not)? If so, you can level faster as the Main Scenario Quests will slow you down.
- Are you a tank or healer? If so, you can level faster as dungeon queues will be much quicker.
Generally speaking, it will take around 20 hours to go from level 60 to 70, with an average of two hours per level. As you approach 70, these levels will be slightly longer, but the difference between 60 to 61 and 69 to 70 is only a matter of a few minutes.
Note that this figure doesn’t factor in downtime, such as sitting around waiting for a queue to pop, or traveling long distances across a new zone.
While leveling, you will want to focus on the following:
- Duty Roulette, specifically 50/60, Leveling, and Trial
- PvP, specifically Frontlines (Shatter)
FATEs, MSQ, and other sources of experience are considered slower than average.
Good luck with your leveling!
