The side quest in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 A Real Challenge is going to be one that is important for players that are attempting to get the most out of their blades. This is because it is key to unlocking one of the most important affinity bonuses for the rare blade Zenobia.
In order to unlock that bonus, you must complete the entire Xenoblade Chronicles 2 A Real Challenge side quest so you can unlock all of the potential abilities for Zenobia. Once you have been given this side quest directly from Zenobia, you will have a four-part, lengthy first objective. Without further ado, let’s get started breaking some seal stones.
How to Complete Xenoblade Chronicles 2 A Real Challenge Side Quest
From the onset of the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 A Real Challenge quest, you will be faced with breaking several seal stones. The first four of them are located in four different nations, so it will take a bit of traveling. Let’s begin with the Earth stone that is located in Gormott.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 A Real Challenge: Sealstone of Earth
For this first stone, you are only told to “remove the seal of Earth from a land of verdant forest.” The land of verdant forest it is referring to is Gormott Province. To break it, skip travel to the Upper Level Left area. It is on a ledge in the northern part of it. You can only reach it during low tide, so make sure that’s right or go to an inn first.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 A Real Challenge: Sealstone of Fire
This one is located in the Abandoned Excavation section in the lower level of the Empire of Mordain. It is found right near the Fourth Ridge Entrance.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 A Real Challenge: Sealstone of Water
For this one, go to the southeast section of the Stomach in the Kingdom of Uraya. It is in the Coralline Sanctum. To access it, you need to break the breakable wall there.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 A Real Challenge: Sealstone of Wind
Go to Godsford Isle in the Leftherian Archipelago. It is located at the top of the isle there. To reach the top, you will have to test your timing skills by jumping while sliding down from Lud Cloudway: Fonsett. There are a lot of enemies nearby that you might have to clear out.
Once you have broken all four sealstones, report to Zaman at Anastatia’s Inn in Theosoir at night only. Once that’s done, the final four sealstones are located in Xataris Spring in the Central Plain of Temperantia. Break those sealstones there. With all eight done, you will be faced with the mini-boss Thanatobeast Andraz, a level 64 enemy. Defeating Andraz will allow you to complete Xenoblade Chronicles 2 A Real Challenge.
