Coming off of the original game, the biggest difference in this sequel is the change from turn-based combat to real-time action gameplay. The second part of how to block and dodge in Ni no Kuni 2 is dodging. We think this is the better defensive option, as it gives you invulnerability during the dodge and helps you swiftly move out of the way of danger. To dodge, you must press L1 while moving the thumbstick in the desired direction.
