A Destiny 2 armory code can be used to unlock hatches that are marked as “requires armory code.” These hatches are part of the new Escalation Protocols that launched with the Destiny 2 Warmind expansion. If you run into a hatch in Destiny 2 that requires an armory code, don’t fret if you don’t have one. Below we’ll tell you everything you need to know about the Destiny 2 Armory Code and how to find them to unlock hatches that need them.
How to Get an Armory Code in Destiny 2 Warmind
You’ll run into the Requires Armory Code Hatches in the same public events and Escalation Protocols that you’ll need to complete to unlock the hatches. Most of the time when you run into one of the hatches, you’ll notice that it’s in the same area where public events and Escalation Protocols trigger. Ironically, these same public events on Mars are the ones you need to complete to get Rasputin Armory Codes.
You’ll end up grinding these public events to get the codes so that you can wait for the public events to respawn so you can unlock the hatches. Grinding Mars public events is a sure fire way to both get armory codes in Destiny 2 and find the armory code hatches, but there’s an additional way to get the codes that may be less frustrating.
It’s not a sure bet, but if you defeat enemy Majors on Mars in Destiny 2, you have a chance of getting a Rasputin Armory Code in the chest they drop upon death. You’ll know you’re facing a Major when you find an enemy with a yellow bar and sometimes a unique name. They can appear all over Mars, and may even join in during an event.
How to Open Requires Armory Code Hatches in Destiny 2 and What’s Inside
So, you’ve got a nice bundle of Rasputin Armory Codes, and you’re ready to open some of these hatches. As long as you’ve got the codes, accessing the hatches is easy. Just find one and when you get close follow the button prompt.
Your reward for opening an armory hatch is a unique new weapon that’s making its first appearance in Warmind. Valkyrie weapons are potent guns that are only available for a limited amount of time. Once you grab one, you’ll get a shot while to lay down destruction before the Valkyrie weapon becomes unusable. Kind of a bummer you don’t get to keep them, but they are a big help while you’ve got them.
