Fortnite Rifts Disabled: Where are the Fortnite Rifts?

Fortnite Rifts were originally introduced at the beginning of Fortnite Season 5 after a rocket launch went horribly wrong during as part of an in-game event. These Rifts usually appear as mysterious openings in the fabric of reality, which will teleport players to the sky where they will then glide down with a parachute. However, a bug recently plagued the Fortnite Rifts, caused developer Epic Games to remove them from the battle royale game for the foreseeable future.

Fortnite Rifts Disabled: Where are the Fortnite Rifts?

Epic Games announced via Twitter earlier today that it is disabling Fortnite Rifts in all game modes. However, this is simply a temporary measure, at least until the developer discovers a proper fix for the problem. Check out the full tweet by the official Epic Games Twitter account below.

Fortnite Rifts Disabled: Fortnite Season 5 Week 5 Challenges

With Fortnite Rifts officially gone at the moment, Fortnite players won’t be able to complete one of the challenges from Fortnite Season 5 Week 5. This refers to one of the free challenges, which requires players to use three Rift portals. As of now, there will be no way of completing this specific challenge, and players will just have to wait for Fortnite Rifts to return when Epic Games finds the fix for the bug.

In the meantime, players will have to complete other available Fortnite challenges, including the recently-revealed Fortnite Week 6 Challenges. None of this week’s new challenges will require Fortnite Rifts, so there won’t be any obstacles stopping players from accumulating XP rewards. Check out our other guides to help you in completing the Fortnite Season 5 Week 6 Challenges, like how to find every stopwatch in Fortnite Complete Timed Trials or solve the Fortnite Search Where the Stone Heads Are Looking.
