Yakuza Kiwami 2 Ryuji Goda

Yakuza Kiwami 2 Missables: Are There Missable Substories or Trophies?

Yakuza Kiwami 2 missables are things that you could miss if you move too far in the game. The original Yakuza 2 has stuff you could miss if you did something wrong or didn’t do it by a certain point in the game. However, that’s eased up quite a bit in the remake, and we’ll tell you everything you need to know about missable substories and trophies in Yakuza Kiwami 2.

Are There Missable Substories or Trophies in Yakuza Kiwami 2?

Missables are the bane of any completionists existence, and the Yakuza series has caught some flak in the past for containing them. In particular, in Yakuza 2 there were missable heat actions, a missable locker key, and a substory that was possible to mess up for good.

Fortunately, Sega took a look at this stuff when it went to work on Yakuza Kiwami 2, and there is no missable content in it.

The caveat to this is that you do have to wait until specific points in the game for substories to show up, and some of them can only be started at certain times of the day. Each of the two cities also has its own unique set of substories so you might have to wait a bit to start or finish a certain one if you’re in the other town.

Here are the locations each chapter takes place in so you can get an idea of when you’ll get a chance to do a particular city’s activities:

  • Chapter 1: Kamurocho (Restricted Movement)
  • Chapter 2-4: Sotenbori
  • Chapter 5-11: Kamurocho
  • Chapter 11-13: Sotenbori
  • Chapter 13-16: Kamurocho

You’ll get a chance to start traveling between the cities by taxi at a certain point in the game, so you’re not stuck in one place too long. You should have ample opportunity to complete everything in Yakuza Kiwami 2 without the worry of missing anything.
