Stardew Valley Train

Stardew Valley Train: What Does a Train Passing Through Stardew Valley Do?

When you’re first starting out in Stardew Valley, things can be a little hard to figure out. The Stardew Valley train is no exception to that, and in fact can confuse the most seasoned Stardew players out there. Which is clearly why you’re here, right? So, what does the Stardew Valley train passing through actually do, and when you can expect to see the train in the first place?

Stardew Valley Train: What Does a Train Passing Through Stardew Valley Do?

Believe it or not, the Stardew Valley train can be incredibly helpful if you’re in need of some spare materials and items that you just haven’t got the time to go collect because you’re too busy chatting up Penny or Shane. Or both. That’s because the Stardew Valley train actually drops a few random resources which you can pick up.

These resources aren’t brilliant or unique by any means, but who will say no to some extra resources? Not us! Though don’t try and knock some more stuff off the train with your sword or pickaxe because, well, you may end up dead. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Stardew Valley Train: When Does the Stardew Valley Train Pass Through?

So you know what the train does, but when should you make sure you can catch it in time? Well, unfortunately, there aren’t any specified days for when the train can pass through the area as it is randomized but you should be ready to rush to the railroad platform as soon as possible during the hours between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

A message will pop up stating that “a train is passing through Stardew Valley,” along with the sound of a train whistle. When you see that message, it’s time to speed to the railroad as fast as you can.
