Tencent Gaming Buddy PUBG Mobile Emulator Explained

The Tencent Gaming Buddy PUBG Mobile Emulator allows fans to play PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile version but on the PC. While that might seem like an odd choice since the game is already available on PC, there are a lot of reasons to emulate the game: from cost to comfort. Here’s how the Tencent Gaming Buddy works.

Tencent Gaming Buddy PUBG Emulator Explained

While PUBG mobile is a mobile version of the PC game there are difference between the two games. One of the most notable differences is the fact that the mobile version is free. With the Tencent Gaming Buddy, a PUBG mobile emulator, players can enjoy the free “version” of the game but on the PC, allowing them to have their cake and eat it too.

The Tencent Gaming Buddy can be downloaded and insalled via the official website. This application is used exclusively for playing PUBG mobile on your PC. So unlike general Android emulators, this isn’t a catch all application. The result is that the experience has been optimized specifically for PUBG and installation has been streamlined.

Tencent Gaming Buddy updates right alongside the game so you don’t have to worry about reinstalling or keeping up with the patches. Like most games, when you launch the application you will be prompted to update it (assuming an update is available).

As far as the gaming quality, you’ll be greeted by plenty of control customization options but precision shooting on mobile doesn’t translate well to PC. Fortunately you can adjust the sensitivity and your mouse dpi. If you’re more console inclined, you’ll be happy to hear the app supports the use of a gamepad.

One of the other benefits is that players don’t have to concern themselves with their PC specs when using the Tencent Gaming Buddy. Since that version of PUBG is only operating at 30fps, most rigs will be able to run it fine (even if they’re a bit older/underpowered).

While progress can be shared across the mobile version and the emulator provided by Tencent Gaming Buddy, matchmaking will separate mobile players from emulator players. So keep this in mind as you’re setting up sessions.

Note: other PUBG mobile emulators exist for PC but Tencent Gaming Buddy is reportedly the most effective one.
