South Park The Stick of Truth Switch Release: When is the South Park The Stick of Truth Switch Release Date?

South Park: The Stick of Truth was released over four years ago now, but it’s set for a new lease of life on a new console pretty soon. The game is due to land on the Nintendo Switch, which is strange given that its sequel – South Park: The Fractured But Whole – is already available to buy on the Switch. So, when is the South Park The Stick of Truth Switch Release date?

South Park The Stick of Truth Switch Release: When Does it Come Out?

South Park The Stick of Truth Switch Release has been confirmed for September 25, 2018.The title has been given a $29.99 price point, which is equivalent to around £22 in British sterling if you’re on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.

According to ComicBook.com, it doesn’t seem that the South Park The Stick of Truth Switch Release will be available to buy as a physical copy though, so chances are the only one you’ll get to play it is if you buy the game on the Nintendo Switch online store. South Park: The Fractured But Whole was only released digitally on the Switch too, so expect the same to be true of the South Park The Stick of Truth Switch Release.

South Park The Stick of Truth Switch Release: Why is it Only Being Released Now?

Who knows? It does seem odd to release its sequel on the Nintendo Switch first, but maybe Nintendo couldn’t come to any sort of deal with developers Ubisoft before the Switch was released. Given the popularity of The Fractured But Whole on the Switch though, it isn’t a surprise to see a South Park The Stick of Truth Switch Release announced. If you didn’t play it first time around on any other platform, now is a great time to do so.
