Assassin's Creed Odyssey Alexios vs Kassandra

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Alexios or Kassandra? – Who Should I Choose and is There a Difference?

Getting to choose between Alexios or Kassandra in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a first for the series. While previous entries, particularly Syndicate, let you swap to other characters at points during the game, this is the first time you get to pick a character to play through the whole thing as. If you’re like me, this is a dilemma for you since you want to see everything the game has to offer, but don’t necessarily want to play it twice. Fortunately, we’ve got the info on the differences between Alexios and Kassandra’s stories, so you know which hero to choose in AC: Odyssey.

Warning: Some spoilers below.

Should I Choose Alexios or Kassandra in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and is There a Difference?

When you begin Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, you’ll have to choose between one of two heroes: Alexios or Kassandra. If you’re having trouble deciding because you’re worried about missing story elements, you can go ahead and breath a sigh of relief.

Basically, the choice between the two heroes boils down to whether you want to play as a boy or a girl. While there are some differences in dialog and character reactions between the two, for the most part, you’re not going to notice any difference.

Whichever character you choose, you’ll meet the other during the course of the story. They’re interchangeable, so if you start as Alexios, then you’ll meet Kassandra as part of the plot and vice-versa. The character’s backstory is the same no matter which you choose as well, the only difference being how they look and their name.

So, the choice between Alexios and Kassandra in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is like choosing a skin. It boils down to picking whoever you think is cooler. Other than the cosmetic, there’s no real difference between the two campaigns.
