Surprisingly, there are ways to get your mouse and keyboard working on your PS4 or Xbox One. A simple way to go about it is to plug your wired keyboard and mouse into the console’s USB sockets. While a lot of brands will work on either the PS4 or Xbox One, some won’t, and there isn’t anything you can do about that, unfortunately.
If you want to play using a wireless mouse and keyboard via Bluetooth, head into your console’s settings and choose “Bluetooth Devices.” Connect the console and the keyboard/mouse and you should be good to go if you see them listed. If the console asks you for a code and you don’t know it, simply enter “0000.”
Not all games work with mouse and keyboards, however. Black Ops 4 is one such game, as playing with a keyboard and mouse puts you at an advantage compared to your controller brethren. Despite this, there are workarounds if you’re really keen on playing Black Ops 4 with keyboard and mouse on consoles. Buying the IOGEAR Keymander or Xim4 lets you map controller inputs into a mouse and keyboard on consoles. Doing this might just end with you being banned for the game for cheating, however, so we wouldn’t recommend it.
