Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is a spooky enough game, with all the zombies and such, but it’s about to get a whole lot spookier with the Black Ops 4 Halloween Event coming very soon. It’s coming to the game in advance of October 31, but when exactly does the Halloween event start? Is it exclusive to any platforms? What will happen in it? We’ll do our best to answer these questions.
When Does the Black Ops 4 Halloween Event Start?
As of today, October 19, the Black Market launches on PS4, with other platforms to follow. Along with all the new gear, Blackout characters etc, there will also be limited-time special events. Black Ops 4 developer Treyarch talked a bit about these in the latest Call of Duty blog. The first Special Event begins tomorrow, October 20, and it’s a free Halloween-themed Special Event stream.
The catch is that this is exclusive to PS4 for an entire week, meaning that PC and Xbox One Black Ops 4 customers will not get access to the Halloween event until around October 27. That’s just four days before Halloween itself, and there’s no indication from Treyarch how long the event will run for.
What Will Happen in the Halloween Event?
Players will be able to earn special Halloween-themed gear and items, such as special pumpkin emblems and the demonic gun skin you can see above. More gear will be available as players progress along the Halloween-themed Special Event stream.
Unfortunately, other than this we currently have no information on what the Halloween Special Event will actually feature. Will there be proper in-game events like major zombie invasions in Blackout, or special Halloween-themed characters to unlock? We honestly have no idea. We are also not sure if the Black Market stream will be the only Halloween event happening in the game. If so, it will be disappointing for some if the entire Halloween event is exclusive to PS4 for a whole week.
