Hitman 2 Hidden House Key Location - Under the Mat

Hitman 2 Hidden House Key Location

Where is the hidden house key location in Hitman 2? Players dropping into the first mission of IO Interactive’s latest stealth title know there’s a quick way to get inside Alma Reynard’s house. The challenge itself is titled Under the Mat, but there’s no mat to be found. So where is the hidden house key? The actual location may come as a surprise.

Where to Find the Hidden House Key Location in Hitman 2

The hidden house key location in the Hitman 2 Hawke’s May level is not, as the challenge suggests, under the mat. It probably didn’t take long for players to realize that the level has no door mat in sight. With that said, the hidden key location is not at all far from the front door. Instead of trying to pick the lock on the front door or use the screwdriver to short out the garage door, the hidden house key pushes players to enter Reynard’s estate through the pool room.

Head through the open glass doors of the pool room, then turn to look for the vase sitting in the corner. Pop it open to find the Hitman 2 hidden house key location, tucked neatly inside the vase. The key will open the door between the pool room and the main room of Reynard’s house. From there, players can either open the exterior doors they need unlocked through the interior, or find a lockpick in the panic room that can be used throughout the rest of the house.

The hidden house key location in Hitman 2 Hawke’s Bay seems like a real head-scratcher, but it’s not too difficult to find. Perhaps the biggest confusion comes from being named Under the Mat, which only feels like misdirection. Still, the hidden key is right there in the pool room, just waiting for eager assassins to find and utilize.
