Pokemon Go Community Day January

Pokemon Go Community Day January – Start Times, Pokemon, and More

The Pokemon Go Community Day January 2019 is on its way soon. As with all other Pokemon Go Community Days thus far, there are plenty of benefits available for those who take part. Unfortunately, it isn’t as big a deal as the November Community Day, which featured tons of bonuses for taking part. There is still plenty to get on with this time around, however.

There are exclusive Pokemon Go Community Day January bonuses that you’ll be able to grab during the limited event. You’ll find out all you need to know about the January Pokemon Go Community Day below.

Pokemon Go Community Day January 2019 Start Times

The Pokemon Go Community Day January 2019 begins on Saturday, January 12, 2019. Unlike some previous Community Day events, the latest January edition will only take place over a three-hour period on January 12.

Below, you’ll find the exact times for each region concerning the January Pokemon Go Community Day:

  • Africa, Europe, India, Middle East: January 12, 10 AM to 1 PM BST / 11 AM to 2 PM CET
  • The Americas and Greenland: January 12, 11 AM to 2 PM PST / 2 PM to 5 PM EST
  • Asia-Pacific: January 13, 12 PM to 3 PM JST

Playing Pokemon Go during these times will net you with various rewards and in-game bonuses.

Pokemon Go Community Day January 2019 Featured Pokemon

There is only one featured Pokemon available to catch during the January Pokemon Go Community Day event. Thankfully, it is a good one. Totodile is your featured Pokemon in the latest Community Day event. Essentially, you’ll have three hours in which you will be able to catch as many Totodiles as possible. This also means you’ll be able to get hold of Totodile shinies relatively easily. Unfortunately, the Exclusive Move for Totodile and its evolutions isn’t known as of the time of writing.

There’s an additional stipulation: You will need to evolve your Totodile within an hour of the Community Day event ending if you want to grab the Exclusive Move. Thankfully, this should be easy enough to do during the event.

Pokemon Go Community Day January 2019 Bonuses

As always, there are other bonuses available during the January Pokemon Go Community Day. Along with high catch rates for Totodile, there are two specific bonuses that will come into play during the event. These are as follows:

  • 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance
  • 3-Hour Lures

With these bonuses in effect, your Pokemon Eggs will hatch far quicker than normal during the three-hour long event. You will also be given 3 Hour Lures, which will make finding rare Pokemon and shinies easier, too.

Pokemon Go Community Day January 2019 – What Else to Expect

On top of an abundance of Totodile to find and catch, 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance, and 3-Hour Lures in effect, there will be even more to the January 2019 Community Day in Pokemon Go. You’ll be able to catch plenty of rare Pokemon with your Lures, at least. We may see Limited Time Field Research events crop up during the Community Day, as has been the case previously.

With everyone likely to play during the event, there will be ample opportunity to trade with, battle, and meet new players. This means that you should be able to evolve that new Totodile with relative ease.

Remember, check into Pokemon Go on January 12, 2019 to take part in the event.
