Read our Fortnite Season 8 Week 2 cheat sheet guide for the lowdown on all of this week’s challenges.
Fortnite Season 8 Week 2 cheat sheet | Deal damage to opponents with a pirate cannon
The pirate theme for Season 8 introduced a number of pirate cannons across the map. You can attack fellow players with these, but they can be very hit and miss due to how slow the cannonball travels.
We have provided a handy map above that shows where you can find a cannon to use. Once you have one, your best bet is to sit and wait for an enemy to enter the area, and try and line up a shot from there. The closer they are the better as, like we said, you could miss with the cannonball if your target is far away.
As long as you deal at least 100 damage to anyone with the pirate cannon though, you can chalk this one off your list. You will also get 10 Battle Stars for your troubles.
Fortnite Season 8 Week 2 cheat sheet | Visit the furthest points on the map
To complete this challenge, you will need to visit the furthest points on the map in each direction. This isn’t the edge of the map to the North, South, East, and West — it is the furthest tip at these compass points that you must head to.
There’s no order with which you need to visit them either, so feel free to mix and match them. Once you visit the quartet, you can tick this challenge off as complete and nab yourself five Battle Stars.
To help you find the right place on the map above, we’ve given a more detailed look at where you need to go below.
- North — Head to Junk Junction. Head North from the movie set warehouse to locate this one.
- South — Travel up the hill that is due South of Lucky Landing.
- East — Head South from Lonely Lodge to find the rundown mansion. Head South from there too to reach this point.
- West — Travel to Snobby Shores. Go West from there and look for the house that has a pool attached to it. This is the area you want to find.
Fortnite Season 8 Week 2 cheat sheet | Gain health
For this challenge, you need to use five apples, one campfire, and one medkit to heal yourself. That’s it. No running around the map to find something, and no need to utilise your excellent shooting skills. Because, let’s face it, you’re a killing machine that doesn’t need to work on your aim.
Anyway, you can find apples across the map on small-ish trees. Each provides five health, so use five of them to get the 25 health needed for this task. Campfires are spread throughout the map, and you will need to get 50 health from the. Each one gives you 2 HP per second for 25 seconds, so you will need to sit by one for the full length of time to chalk this bit off.
Finally, Medkits can be found in supply drops and chests, and you’ll have to acquire 75 health. Luckily, they bring 100 HP back, so using one is enough.
You will have to use each one individually to complete this challenge too, so don’t think you can use all of them in one go and cheat your way to ticking this one off. If you need a bit of help, just erect a few steps with some crafting materials, climb up, jump off, and you’ll knock a bit of your health off. Use each item in turn until the challenge is done, and grab those three Battle Stars for your reward.
Fortnite Season 8 Week 2 cheat sheet | Deal damage to descending supply drops
This one is easy or difficult depending on how good your aim is. Whenever you spot a supply drop in the air, hit the balloon with a bullet and a health bar will appear above the package. Simply use medium or long range weapons to deal at least 200 damage to it, and you will box off this challenge for five Battle Stars.
Fortnite Season 8 Week 2 cheat sheet | Salty Springs and Haunted Hills eliminations
This challenge is a simple one to complete. You only need to head to one of these regions on the map and take out three different opponents. Bear in mind that each location has its own advantages and disadvantages though.
Salty Springs can get you more enemies to attack but, in turn, you could also be gunned down just as much. Haunted Hills can be quieter but, if you are the sneaky type, you can kill any unsuspecting opponents by camping out somewhere with, say, a sniper rifle. Do this to earn 10 Battle Stars.
Fortnite Season 8 Week 2 cheat sheet | Landing locations
As with most Fortnite weekly challenges, there is a five-step process to the landing at different locations challenge. You have to drop into the quintet listed below, and bear in mind that you can only tick each one by completing a full game. You cannot land and then exit the game, but we don’t believe you’re that much of a cheat. Complete each one and get a Battle Star for each stage.
- Stage 1 — Land at The Block
- Stage 2 — Land at Dusty Divot
- Stage 3 — Land at Polar Peak
- Stage 4 — Land at Snobby Shores
- Stage 5 — Land at Paradise Palms
Fortnite Season 8 Week 2 cheat sheet | Search chests in different areas
This challenge has to be completed within a single match for it to be ticked off. Basically, you have to find and open a chest in a named location on the map, and then repeat the process two more times until the challenge notifies you that you’ve done enough to finish it.
Each location on the map qualifies as a potential chest spawn area, so you won’t have trouble finding them. Just make sure you don’t get gunned down early enough to have to re-do this one. This will give you 10 Battle Stars.
Complete four of the seven challenges above, and you will be rewarded with the 2,000 XP Reward Item.

Fortnite's 10 Game Changing Pickups
So, you're dropping into Tilted Towers and you need a game changer. Something that will ensure that your next match is memorable. Fortnite has had plenty of these types of items in its brief history, and here are the most devastating. See any of these on the field, and you better run. -
Crossbow
Originally themed for Valentines Day, the crossbow was a devastating sniper rifle even without its fancy skin. A high damage output even on Rare difficulty and five shots to a clip made it a sharpshooters dream, and eventually led to it being vaulted in May of 2018. -
Drum Gun
A hybrid of a Rifle and Machine Gun, the Drum Gun brought a 1920s flair to Junk Junction. It proved to be deadly accurate in the hands of players at close range, even after a round of significant nerfs. Two months after its initial debut, it was curtains for this Tommy. -
Guided Missile
The preferred tool of any rocket rider, the Guided Missile lets you root out camping opponents and sail into the skies of victory. A devastating and rare munition, the Guided Missile saw two tours of duty in the fields of Fortnite. As of now, it's still available to mess around with in Playground mode. -
Infinity Blade
Originating in Epic's hit trilogy of mobile games, this mythic sword only lasted for four days before being banished to the Vault. It powered up players and granted them extra health, creating an in-game boss fight. In the end, it did its job just a bit too well. -
Infinity Gauntlet
A purposefully limited time item, this Marvel Comics artifact turned its wielder into Thanos. His mighty punch, energy blast, and insane leaping ability made players quake in fear during his summer stint in the battle royale. Let's hope he finds other worlds to conquer for the sequel. -
Jetpack
Nothing changes a shooter quite like added mobility. Dodge out of sniper fire and root out towers of foes with the Jetpack, a limited time only Legendary backpack. Aeronauts with enough skill can negate any crafty builders and land the last few kills with pinpoint accuracy. -
Mounted Turret
A turret sequence in most shooters is a drag, but a well executed run with the Mounted Turret can be a thrill. This legendary trap is deployable anywhere there's a flat surface and spurts out infinite ammo as long as you mind the heat and don't take enough damage. -
Remote Explosives
It makes sense that a game partially about building would also have some C4 to even the odds, but the Remote Explosives were too much for their own good. Able to rip apart strategies at a distance and coming in bundles of three, most players don't miss these server bombs. -
Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle
Able to pick out enemies and loot with ease, the Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle is the current best weapon if you're looking to charge an opposing team. Just be sure to account for its high recoil, lest you be staring into the sun as you take a fatal blow. -
Zapotron
One of the original vaulted weapons in Fortnite's battle royale mode, the Zapotron was an electrified sniper rifle that decimated groups of enemies from afar. It has a great design but doesn't really fit with the rest of the game's more authentic arsenal. Still, don't wear a lightning rod if we ever see this weapon again.
