The Division 2 Armor on Kill Mod Not Working

The Division 2 Armor on Kill Mod Not Working | Is there a fix?

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 can be a difficult enough game at the best of times, so it certainly doesn’t help when a bug is making things more difficult. A fair number of players have been complaining about The Division 2 Armor on Kill Mod not working. Read on to discover what The Division 2 Armor on Kill Mod bug is and if there is any way that you can fix the annoying issue. No one likes it when something doesn’t work as advertised.

The Division 2 Armor on Kill Mod Not Working | What’s the problem?

The Division 2 Armor on Kill Mod Not Working

According to this thread (and others) on the official Ubisoft Support forums for The Division 2, more than a few players are encountering a bug that makes the Armor on Kill Mod simply not work. Several Gear Mods in The Division 2 come equipped with a feature that should respawn some of your armor upon killing an enemy, much like the Skill in Sekiro that recovers health after a Deathblow.

You should be able to stack as many Gear Mods as possible containing the Armor on Kill add-on in order to increase the amount of Armor you receive after killing an enemy. It seems like no matter how many Mods some players stack with the upgrade, however, it simply doesn’t work. This would make the game more difficult, for sure.

The way to check if it is working for you is to first equip a Gear Mod with an Armor on Kill benefit listed. Head into your Stat Page and scroll down to where it shows you how much Armor on Kills you should receive (under Defense). If it says 0 when it should say more, the game has likely glitched. Of course, kill an enemy after some of your armor has been destroyed to check that that is the case.

Unfortunately, there is no fix for this issue, official or not. We’d love to tell you that there is, but sadly, you’re going to have to wait for an official fix via an update for this one.

You can, though, make Ubisoft more aware that it is an issue that the developers should be looking into more thoroughly. Thankfully, Ubisoft is aware of the problem. We’d recommend hitting Ubisoft social media accounts, support forums, and Reddit threads with screenshots and video grabs of the glitch in question. The more people who complain, the more likely a fix will come about sooner rather than later.

For now, you might want to steer well clear of any Gear Mods that promise “Armor on Kill” or any variant to that effect.
