Rage 2 Characters Not Speaking Bug Fix

The Rage 2 characters not speaking bug is one of the more frustrating errors to come across in this newly-launched game. Sometimes, for whatever reason, characters just stop speaking. This can be especially annoying if you’re not using subtitles, as that makes the problem more difficult to identify. There is still game sound, but there’s no voice audio. Thankfully, once you know that you’ve encountered the error, the Rage 2 characters not speaking bug fix is pretty simple.

Rage 2 Characters Not Speaking

As mentioned above, the Rage 2 characters not speaking bug fix is pretty simple to carry out, but first you’ll need to identify whether or not you have a problem. Until a patch is rolled out to fully squash this bug, we’d highly recommend turning subtitles on, if you haven’t already done so. This will ensure that you don’t miss out on any valuable important dialogue.

To force characters to start speaking again, you’re going to want to reload to a previous save, or kill your character and start from an earlier checkpoint. Fortunately, the game has a number of autosave slots, so you shouldn’t miss out on too much progress.

We realize that the Rage 2 characters not speaking bug fix is inconvenient, and it’s a shame that you need to restart sections in order to understand what people are saying and what the hell is going on, but it’s the only current workaround.

Here’s hoping that a Rage 2 bug fix patch is rolled out sooner, rather than later, so that players can enjoy a seamless gaming experience, without worrying about missing out on key plot points and/or the witty humor of the more creative characters.

This post will remain updated with Rage 2 characters not speaking bug fixes, so if a better solution is found, you’ll be able to read about it here.
