If you’re wondering whether or not you can pick up the Season 10 Battle Pass in Fortnite for free, the answer will likely disappoint you. You cannot get the Season 10 Battle Pass for free. If you want to own all of the Season 10 Rewards, you will need to fork out 950 V-Bucks in order to purchase the Battle Pass. Previously, Epic Games has offered ways in which you can grab a Battle Pass for free (notably following the launch of Apex Legends). Unfortunately, this wasn’t and doesn’t appear to be the case for the Season 10 Battle Pass.

While this may be disappointing news, it shouldn’t come as a surprise. You can rarely pick up Battle Passes entirely for free. There is a silver lining, however, in that if you buy the Season X Battle Pass, you can earn enough V-Bucks as rewards to pick up a free Fortnite Season 11 Battle Pass. In total, you can earn as many as 1,300 V-Bucks from the Fortnite Season 10 Battle Pass (you’ll need to reach Battle Pass level 98 first, however). You’ll also pick up a further 200 V-Bucks on the Free Season 10 reward list for reaching level 34, too. That’s 1,500 V-Bucks in total.
Who knows? Epic Games may release an event towards the end of Season 10 that will allow you to win the Fortnite Season 11 Battle Pass for free, just as it did back when Apex Legends launched.
