When is the iOS 13 Release Date?
Before we take a look at when the iOS 13 release date is, let’s see what’s been happening with this latest operating system update.
Apple unveiled iOS 13 to those present and anyone watching online during its keynote speech at the 2019 Worldwide Developers Conference. The technology company also revealed a number of new features that will appear in the next software update, including the oft-requested Dark Mode theme.
Since then, there have been a number of beta tests so that Apple can check how the operating system works for lots of users. It’s also been possible for the development team to take a look at notable bugs and glitches in the system, then iron those out before its released.
The latest beta launched on July 17 for developers with a security bug fix. This is the fourth beta to have occurred, and there’s still one more that’s due to take place. The iOS 13 Golden Master beta is expected to begin in early September, which is a month away at the time of writing.
If the Golden Master beta proves to be a success, the iOS 13 release date won’t be far behind. Apple has released its new lineup of iPhones in September over the past few years, so it stands to reason that iOS 13 will come out at a similar time.
We don’t have definite dates for the iPhone or iOS 13 release dates yet, but we can speculate. The iPhone X range was announced on September 12, 2018, and went on sale nine days later. If Apple sticks to a similar plan, we could see iOS 13 release around September 20 this year.
