Although you can use them whenever you want try not to waste your 'Pill Hints' on the easier early levels as they become crucial later on when the game gets difficult.
Watch out for the janitor. Tap on him when he sticks his head up and you'll get extra points.
The movable items on each screen aren't always obvious, so sometimes it's worth having a tap around to find them.
