Announced during E3 2019, fans got a glimpse at the first major Rage 2 DLC. Dubbed the Rise of the Ghosts, players will face an old threat who has come back to take care of some unfinished business. The Rage 2 Rise of the Ghosts DLC will also be adding a new faction, another region known as the Overgrown City, an additional Void ability, and a whole lot more. Even better, the Rise of the Ghosts release date is just around the corner. Here is everything that you need to know about it.
Rage 2 Rise of the Ghosts DLC | New Faction, Overgrown City, and Void
Once the rulers of the wasteland, the Ghosts were a vicious faction who held dominant rule and destroyed anyone who dared to stand in their way. However, after the Authority Wars, the Ghosts seemed to have been killed off and gone for good. Since then, there hasn’t been a trace of the Ghosts, but they are very much alive. After almost being eradicated, the remaining Ghosts decided to follow a new leader, named Iris, who promised power and glory if they followed her.

Iris and her Ghosts disappeared to the Overgrown City, a brand new location that will be featured in the Rage 2 Rise of the Ghosts DLC. During their disappearance, the Ghosts were being experimented on and brainwashed by Iris, leaving them with powerful nanotrite abilities. They are now stronger than ever and are ready to make their name known again in the wasteland. Ranger Walker will have his or her hands full trying to stop these hellish creatures. Thankfully, he or she will have a new ability, known as the Void available to use, as well as a Feltrite Laser Launcher and a new Ghost motorcycle. Players will have to help Ranger Walker search the Overgrown City and get rid of the Ghosts and Iris for good.
Rage 2 Rise of the Ghosts DLC | Release date and cost
The Rage 2 Rise of the Ghosts DLC will be releasing on all platforms on September 26, 2019. It will cost $15 and can be downloaded from the in-game store for 1,500 Rage Coins. It’ll be up to you to stop the Ghosts before it is too late.
