Mario Kart Tour Sidesteppers | How to complete Take out 5 Sidesteppers Challenge

Mario Kart Tour Sidesteppers

If you’ve got to the point in Mario Kart Tour where you can complete challenges to unlock rewards such as Grand Stars, you may well have encountered the Sidestepper challenge. Fortunately, completing the Take out 5 Sidesteppers challenge should be simple enough to manage. It turns out that Sidesteppers are enemies, which is nice to know if you’ve been confused. In fact, the Mario Kart Tour Sidesteppers are the crabs you can see in the image above.

All you need to do in order to complete the challenge is take five of the crabs out, as in defeat them. To do this, we’d recommend playing in 50cc to make things as easy as possible. You’ll find Sidesteppers in at least two of the Mario Kart Tour tracks. The two tracks where we know Sidesteppers dwell are as follows:

  • Cheep Cheep Lagoon
  • Koopa Troopa Beach

Simply head to either of these tracks on 50cc, grab an item (hope it’s an offensive one) and aim them at the Sidesteppers to hit them and take them out. If you don’t have an item to hand, though, you can simply drive into the Sidesteppers to defeat them.

While Koopa Troopa Beach will contain enough Sidesteppers, you might struggle to defeat all five in one race. Thankfully, it appears as though the game will add them up for you as you play. It doesn’t seem like you have to defeat all five Sidesteppers in one race.
