Death Stranding Switch Release Date | Is it coming to Switch?

Death Stranding Switch release date

After years of waiting, wondering, and indeed questioning, Death Stranding is nearly upon us. We only have to wait until November 8, 2019, before we can begin our currently confusing adventure with Sam Porter Bridges. The game is releasing on PS4. Whether or not it is an exclusive game is up in the air, however, despite Sony’s involvement in the title. Will we, therefore, ever see a Death Stranding Switch release date? The short answer: No. The long answer? It’s highly unlikely.

Death Stranding could well be a timed PS4 exclusive, with a future PC port and release at least somewhat likely. We’ve got a guide on that, too, if you’re interested to find out more. Time will tell if that does happen. While a PC port may open the doors to more console releases down the road, it is highly unlikely. Sony is heavily involved in the publishing of Death Stranding. This means a potential Nintendo Switch port just won’t happen.

Despite the fact that it would be nice to see Kojima’s latest on the Switch, it won’t happen. The truth is, Death Stranding is more than likely going to remain a Sony console exclusive. While we may see an updated port of it release on the PS5 in the future, we can’t see it happening on the Switch. Besides, we doubt the Switch is powerful enough to run the highly-detailed game. We’d recommend that you wipe the possibility of a Death Stranding Switch release out of your mind. It’s incredibly unlikely to ever happen.
