Destiny 2 Xenophage

Destiny 2 Xenophage | Release date and Exotic quest

We know you want to get your hands on the Destiny 2 Xenophage Exotic weapon. Unfortunately, you can’t yet, but its release date is thought to be right around the corner. If you want to know when you can add this machine gun to your collection of weapons, you’ve come to the right place. Our Destiny 2 Xenophage guide will tell you all you need to know about when it’s coming to Bungie’s game. We’ll also detail what quest you’ll need to complete in order to get it. Have a read, Guardian, and then get your body ready.

Destiny 2 Xenophage | How can I get it?

Destiny 2 Xenophage

As we mentioned, you’ll have to complete an Exotic quest in order to get the Destiny 2 Xenophage gun. You won’t be able to buy it from the likes of Xur or add it to your collection from another mission.

Well, that will almost certainly be the case once it goes live in the game. You can buy Exotic equipment from Xur if he’s selling it, including Exotic weapons, but it’s unlikely he’ll be selling Xenophage as soon as it’s released.

Destiny 2 Xenophage | When is the Exotic quest available?

Destiny 2 Xenophage

If you want to know when this questline will be available to play, you’re in luck. According to the Destiny 2 roadmap, Xenophage’s Exotic quest will be getting patched into the game on Tuesday, October 29. This stands to reason as Bungie usually releases new content for the game on Tuesdays.

However, not everyone will get their hands on it. Only players who have bought the Shadowkeep expansion will have access to the Xenophage questline. If you want to add it to your gun collection, you’ll have to stump up the cash in order to buy Shadowkeep and access this quest.

As we said earlier, Xur could end up selling it down the line, but you might be waiting for months to buy it. If you don’t want to miss out on Xenophage, you’ll have to get Shadowkeep.
