So, you want to see Conan O’Brien in Death Stranding? You’ll have to go off the beaten path to find the late-night talk show host’s cameo. Fortunately, he’s not too tough to find once you know where to look. Here’s how to find Conan O’Brien’s location in Death Stranding.
Where is Conan O’Brien located in Death Stranding?
You’ll need to reach Episode 3 – Fragile before you can find Conan. You’ll find him very close to your ultimate objective for this chapter, South Knot City. However, Conan O’Brien’s location is tucked out of the way, and you could walk within 50 meters of it without ever noticing it was there. We’ll show you exactly where it is on the map above, but you can also follow along below for a few landmarks that will help you find him.
Conan O’Brien’s location in Death Stranding is:
- Southeast of the Weather Station.
- Northeast of the Timefall Farm.
- West-southwest of the Junk Dealer.
- West-northwest of the Chiral Artist’s Studio.
- Southwest of the Collector.
- Northwest of South Knot City.
His location will be marked on your map as “Cosplayer.” You’ll find his shelter tucked into a canyon just east of the river. Fortunately, there is a roundabout path you can use to drive a truck or bike down to his shelter. Alternatively, you can rappel down or use a ladder if you’re going on foot.
Before you get to meet Conan, you’ll need to fill at least one connection-level star with the Cosplayer. You can do this by either bringing back Lost Cargo or taking on a delivery job for her. The one I got was Order 37: Sewing Kit Delivery: Cosplayer, but I’m sure there are others out there.
When you connect the Cosplayer to the network, Conan will show up to thank you. As a sign of his gratitude, he gives you the Otter Hood.
The game describes the Otter Hood as:
“A special hood, lovingly hand-crafted by the Cosplayer. It’s so well made that you may take on the characteristics of an otter, becoming a stronger swimmer as a result. Only downside is that you may struggle to be taken seriously.”
For more hilarious dialog from Conan, you can continue to make deliveries to the Cosplayer. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have much other swag besides the Otter Hood to give you.
