Is There a Cockpit View in Need for Speed Heat?

With Need for Speed Heat out now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, you can take to the streets in your favorite cars once more. Is there a cockpit view in Need for Speed Heat, though? In this Need for Speed Heat cockpit view guide, we’ll let you know whether or not there is a first-person viewpoint and, if not, will there ever be one?

Is There a Need for Speed Heat Cockpit View?

Need for Speed Heat cockpit view

There is no cockpit view in Need for Speed Heat. Unfortunately, you will not be able to change to a first-person view inside the car when playing Need for Speed Heat, which may come as something of a surprise considering how normal such a view is in racing games.

As much as you want to, you will not be able to play from the driver’s perspective in Need for Speed Heat. This is a shame, as cockpit views are normal in racing games of all shapes and sizes. In other open-world racing games such as Forza Horizon 4, which features many more cars, too, you can play in a cockpit viewpoint. It is disappointing that you cannot in the latest Need for Speed game.

Will there ever be a cockpit view in Need For Speed Heat, though? It’s unlikely but possible. Ghost Games or EA could decide to add the cockpit viewpoint into the game with a patch in the future. Despite this possibility, however, we’d argue that it is unlikely to ever happen. It would take a lot of work to put the view into the game. There are over 100 cars to develop the view for, not to mention any future DLC vehicles. Who knows, though? If you cross your fingers hard enough it may happen eventually. There could always be a cockpit view mod developed for the PC version of the game, too.
