A familiar face has arrived with the new Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 2 update: the one and only “Merc with a Mouth,” Deadpool! His appearance was a big surprise, not only because it’s yet another Marvel “hero” jumping into the game, but also because of the way you unlock him. Fortnite Deadpool isn’t tied to a limited-time mode. Instead, he’s unlockable through a more normal means, which should make it easier for players to get this new Marvel skin. Here’s everything you need to know on how to unlock Deadpool in Fortnite.
How to get the Deadpool skin in Fortnite
Unlike previous Marvel and DC characters, the Fortnite Deadpool appearance is tied to the game’s Chapter 2 – Season 2 Battle Pass. This information was revealed in the Battle Pass trailer, which was first shared by dataminer FortTory.

FortTory has also shared the list of datamined challenges, which players will need to complete in order to unlock Deadpool in Fortnite.

- Find Deadpool’s letter to Epic Games. – 0/1
- Don’t thank the bus driver. – 0/1
- Week 2
- Find Deadpool’s milk carton. – 0/1
- Find Deadpool’s chimichangas around HQ. – 0/3
Fortnite Deadpool is currently teased as “Coming soon.” It’s clear that users will need to own the Battle Pass to access him and his challenges, but that isn’t yet available.
For now, it appears that Deadpool is only present at the game’s main menu, as a tease for what’s to come. Perhaps we’ll also get a Wade Wilson skin?! Marvel characters have popped up before, so it was bound to happen again.
The good news is that Battle Pass owners can expect more bang for their buck as the Season continues. Day one content is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to rewards and challenges, it seems!
