The possibility of Nioh 2 co-op is pretty high since the first game had it, as well as other Soulslikes. So does Nioh 2 have co-op? Can you play it with another player?
Nioh 2 Co-Op | Can you play online?
Yes, like the original game, there is a Nioh 2 co-op mode. In addition to the A.I. characters you can call in with Ochoko Cups, you can also play live with up to two other real people.

But how do you play together? To start the Nioh 2 co-op mode, you need to go to the Starting Point house on the map menu screen. From there, go to the Torii Gate and then choose Expeditions or Random Encounters. You can see this in the picture above.
How to play Nioh 2 Co-Op
Expeditions is probably what you want as it is where you can set the difficulty, mission, and if friends can join. Although you can’t invite them directly. You just have to create the room and leave a private spot open for them or create a secret word that lets them join. Just tell your friend to change the “Special Matching Conditions” based on the option you choose. It’s very odd and a little obtuse, but it gets the job done eventually.
Random Encounters, on the other hand, isn’t a seedy section on Craigslist, but it is exactly what it sounds like. It drops you into any mission you want. You can also choose what mission it drops you into. It just doesn’t choose who you drop in with so beware.
