The Final UX5000 headphone sees a company renowned for its tuning of wired earphone and headphone products, pushing out a wireless variant complete with noise cancellation. If executed well, it could be the perfect combination of Final’s signature tuning with modern mainstream must-haves. After testing it for at-home listening and in busy city environments, here is my Final UX5000 headphone review.
What lies beneath

Though its design is subtle, there is a lot going on beneath the surface with the UX5000. It is built using a newly developed 40 mm dynamic driver. It also makes use of Qualcomm’s QCC3095 chipset.
It boasts Bluetooth 5.4 for getting connected with phones, laptops, and other devices. It supports a wide range of codecs, including LDAC, aptX Adaptive, aptX, AAC, and SBC.
The active noise cancellation is thoughtfully implemented with different modes for full ANC and an Ambient (transparency) mode. Impressively, with ANC enabled, this headphone is rated for up to 45 hours of battery life. Disable ANC and users are looking at closer to 65 hours, which is mighty impressive. I certainly haven’t had any battery concerns during my testing.
The UX5000’s design and material finish stand out as one of the headset’s main strengths. It looks very stealthy with its textured black finish. It feels light, yet sturdy, and I’m confident that it will last the test of time. The replaceable ear pads, headband padding, and even battery are appreciated for that boost to longevity.
The sound factor

Of course, great headphone design doesn’t mean much if the cans don’t deliver excellent sound. Thankfully, the UX5000 impresses with its neutral, balanced presentation. In a market where many wireless headphones push the “V” curve or just push bass to the max, which admittedly many users do like, it’s refreshing to listen to a headphone that has a more neutral target.
Moving between songs and genres, there’s an argument to be made for a slightly boosted midrange, as vocals feel a touch separated and forward, but it is nuanced.
While bass and treble are present, they are very much inoffensive. I’d say bass feels “controlled” and treble is “smooth.” Neither is overpowering, which is a win for me.
The neutral foundation of this headphone can be tweaked using the 10-band EQ helpfully provided in the app. It works better than I had imagined.
Tough competition

When it comes to downsides, the UX5000’s main weakness against the competition is active noise cancelling. While Final’s implementation does handle background noise well and successfully quietens vehicle noise on a commute, it simply can’t match up to class-leading ANC.

Final Verdict
At $249.99, the Final UX5000 enters a highly competitive wireless headphone market. While its active noise cancellation doesn’t quite reach the level of the biggest names in the space, it still performs well enough for daily commuting and general use. Where the UX5000 stands out is in its balanced sound tuning, which feels refreshingly restrained compared to many bass-heavy wireless options. Combined with excellent battery life and a solid, understated design, it shapes up as a thoughtful and capable option for listeners who prioritize sound quality over feature-heavy competition.
